Red Dragons claim battling point on the road

21 February 2024

Wrexham claimed a battling point on the road to continue the current unbeaten streak, in an entertaining match away to MK Dons.

The Red Dragons made it seven points from the last three games, after James McClean headed the visitors in front on 22 minutes before Dan Kemp’s leveller four minutes later.

Arthur Okonkwo made a stunning save to keep the scores level at half-time, before scrambling to stop another long-range shot on the line on the hour – with MK Dons convinced it had gone in.

Dean Lewington was sent off for his protests, and the match finished ten men vs ten men when Will Boyle picked up a second yellow card. Neither side could find a winner, however, with the two promotion rivals settling for a point apiece.
