Series One claims haul of awards at EMMYs

Series One of Welcome to Wrexham, produced by FX, documenting the Club's 2021-22 season, has been awarded five EMMY's at the 75th Creative Arts Awards.

The series, which has highlighted both the Club's transition under the ownership of Co-Chairmen, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, and recieved critical praise following its release in August 2022.  

In total, the documentary won five awards from six nominations, which are as follows: Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Directing For A Reality Program; Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Reality Program (Single or Multi-Camera), Outstanding Cinematography For A Reality Program.

Only 'The Last of Us' won more awards than the documentary, having scooped eight awards.
