TST 2024 | Groups revealed for 2024 tournament

The Wrexham Red Dragons men’s and women’s teams have discovered who they will face in the group stage of this year’s TST 7-a-side tournament.

The men’s team, managed by David Jones, reached the knockout stages before losing out to former US internationals Jimmy Conrad and DaMarcus Beasley’s Eponymous team.

This year, the expanded 48-team tournament will feature twelve groups, which will see the Red Dragons headline Group F. Joining them will be Desimpedidos, FC Roha Eagles, and Saturdays Football.

The opening group game of the tournament will take place at 10.15am EST on June 5 against FC Roha Eagles, before taking on Saturdays Football at 6pm EST that evening on ESPNU. Their final group game against Desimpedidos will kick-off at 5pm EST on Thursday June 6 EST also on ESPNU.

FC Roha Eagles are a team based in Switzerland who have competed across Europe; Desimpedidos are a Brazilian sports and media company, and Saturdays Football are a ‘soccer lifestyle brand’, featuring Cruz Beckham.

The TST Women’s tournament is split between eight teams and two groups of four. In with the Wrexham Red Dragons are Angel City FC, US Women and Streetball Canada.

Wrexham will kick-off against Angel City FC 12:30 p.m. EST on Friday, June 7th, followed by Streetball Canada at 9.30pm EST later that evening. The final group fixture will commence at 8pm EST the following day against US Women.

Angel City FC formed in 2020 and are currently playing in their third season in the National Women’s Soccer League; Streetball Canada features stars from the World Cup campaign; meanwhile US Women return for their second year in the competition.

TST will take place between the 5-10 of June in Cary, North Carolina
