In light of the latest coronavirus guidelines, Wrexham AFC will be pausing their Academy Programme from October 1.
Training is ON tonight (Wednesday September 30), with measures set to come into place from Thursday.
With Wrexham now under local lockdown rules, and with academy players usually travelling to the club from all over North Wales, we have had to pause the programme. This decision will be reviewed on a weekly basis.
Wrexham AFC can also confirm that, as a result of Welsh Government rules related to youth football, the club has had to withdraw from the FA Youth Cup.
Current guidelines do not allow for matches to be played at that level, either in Wales or for a Welsh club playing away to English opposition.
As a result, we cannot fulfil our FA Youth Cup Second Qualifying Round fixture against Litherland Remyca.
