Continuing our annual and extremely successful “Bring A Tin” initiative, Wrexham fans are invited to bring non-perishable foods to the Maidenhead United game at The Racecourse on Saturday, 2nd December.
All food donations will be used as emergency food for local people in crisis.
Wrexham Supporters’ Trust volunteers will be on hand at the club shop, in the Turf car park and at the Mold Road exit of the University car park from 1:30pm.
The Trust will be running a Twitter and Facebook campaign to draw attention to the collection and the important work of the foodbank.
Over the last three years we have collected over 1500kg of food.
Providing nutritionally balanced emergency food, and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis, doesn’t come cheap.
Funded by churches and local community groups, Wrexham Food Bank needs to raise in the region of £10,000 to cover the annual running costs of such a valuable service.
To help with these costs, Wrexham AFC have provided Wrexham Food Bank with the opportunity to hold a bucket collection at the Solihull Moors game on Tuesday November 21st.
Please, if you can spare some loose change, pop it in one of the collection pots in and around the ground. Volunteers will be available before, during and after the game
