Wrexham AFC are delighted to announce that midfielder Luke Young has extended his stay at the Racecourse Ground, penning a one-year contract with a potential additional year.
The back-to-back Player of the Season winner will remain in North Wales until at least the summer of 2022 having put pen to paper this morning.
Young finished the 2020/21 campaign as the club's top scorer with 12 goals and featured 44 times as a mainstay in the heart of Wrexham's midfield.
The Devon-born middle-man also reached a century this previous campaign making his 100th appearance in a 2-0 win over Woking, in which he fittingly scored a penalty to help secure three points.
Upon signing Young said "It was all about weighing up the best option for me, not just in football but as a family as well and there was no better place to stay than here.
"The fans have warmed to me over my three years here and it's made it very welcoming and very good on a personal level on and off the pitch.
"We're settled here, bought a house and commited to the area and I think that just shows the commitment that I've hopefully shown in the last three years that I've been here.
"We'll take the disappointment of missing out by a point last year and try to go one further, that seems to be the vibe about the place and the message that I'm hearing from everybody at the club and it's something that I want to be a part of with the potential to go somewhere and be big, hopefully it's this season."
