Wrexham AFC are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Wrexham Glyndŵr University as our new website partner for 2018/19 season.

Founded in 2008, Wrexham Glyndŵr University is a young, bold and vibrant institution – and is now a Top 100 University, rising 24 places in the Guardian league tables 2019. The rise in the table means Glyndŵr was one of the top 10 risers in the UK.

It’s an exciting time for Wrexham Glyndŵr University, with its £60 million Campus 2025 strategy set to provide improvements at both its Regent Street site, and at the Plas Coch site right next to the stadium. These will include stimulating state-of-the-art facilities, using the latest in building designs and technology to provide a sustainable and attractive future-proof campus – and alongside other proposed developments, are set to help transform Wrexham in the coming years.

Wrexham Glyndŵr University Finance Director David Elcock said, “We are delighted to become a partner with Wrexham AFC’s website and develop our links even further with the club. We are working to develop a relationship that boosts both organisations with links that stretch from sport through to partnership opportunities such as this one.

“With 60,000 viewers on a monthly basis to the Wrexham AFC website this opportunity is a good one for us to extend the name of Wrexham Glyndŵr University even further. After our own league table success, all of us at the university are backing the club in its quest to achieve promotion this season. We wish Sam Ricketts and the team all the best.”

Club Director Spencer Harris said, “It is great to have our closest neighbours and owners of the Racecourse on board as partners for 2018/19 season. We have been talking together for quite some time about how we can collaborate for mutual benefit. This partnership is a prime example of that burgeoning relationship between two of North Wales’ best branded organisations.”
