Wrexham AFC would like to remind it's supporters to continue respecting our neighbours when parking before games or events held at the Racecourse.
We acknowledge the University car parks were unavailable to supporters at the Harrogate Town fixture, as thousands of people were attending a major event on the campus, meaning many vehicles were left on local roads causing issues for residents over the whole weekend.
The problems recorded included an ambulance having difficulty in reaching a call and in general, cars parked obstructing access, blocking in other vehicles and being left on double yellow lines.
We know that the vast majority of supporters attending the Racecourse respect both our neighbours and the local parking regulations, but we also appreciate the difficulties that extra visitors to the area can cause for those living nearby.
Representatives of residents in the area have approached the club to ask for continued co-operation in respecting their right to go about their normal activities while events are being held.
We would appreciate it if supporters can continue to avoid parking on the likes of Maesgwyn Road, Lilac Way, Yale Park and Windsor Drive, and consider using dedicated the parking at the likes of Glyndwr University or Maesgwyn Hall.
Wrexham AFC would like to thank our supporters for their continued help in this matter, as do our neighbours.
