Wrexham AFC paid a visit to The Turf to thank owner Wayne Jones for donating the pub's entry fees from the first live stream of the season to help support the Football Club.
As Wrexham supporters worldwide tuned into the 2-1 win against Boreham Wood on the opening day season, the Turf was full - within the current guidelines - of Wrexham supporters watching the live stream being beamed back from just next door.
And the donation to the Football Club of the entry fees claimed by the Turf from that game - and the promise of subsequent donations to come too - has helped the club fund travel and accommodation for Saturday's trip to Wealdstone.
Manager Dean Keates was on hand to thank Wayne personally, alongside five Wrexham players - housemates Dan Jarvis, Kwame Thomas, Reece Hall-Johnson, Jordan Ponticelli and Anthony Jeffrey.
Keates said of the donation: "We're very grateful for the Turf's continued support of Wrexham AFC. This is where it all started for the Football Club and, for Wayne to continue to provide assistance, is very much appreciated.
"This is a difficult time for all industries, including for the Football Club, so all donations are hugely appreciated. This money, for example, has gone towards the travel and accommodation for the trip to Wealdstone - every bit really helps at the moment.
"We'll be going down to Wealdstone keen to give those watching the live stream in the Turf - and in all the pubs in town supporting the Football Club - something to celebrate."
