DRAGON CHAT | Drugs and alcohol awareness session

Macclesfield Town
Posted:Wed 03 Mar 2021

This week’s Dragon Chat men’s mental health peer support group will be hosting an educational workshop regarding drugs and alcohol.

The session, at 7pm on Thursday March 4, will be hosted by supporter Max Griffiths and you can find the call details below. Max has worked in substance misuse services for many years including the criminal justice service.

Max will be discussing some basic information around the big ‘substances’, the risks associated, and where and how someone could get help or advice should they feel the need to.

It is important to note that Max will not be telling people to stop using substances or drinking, the session will be educational, informative and supportive.

Dragon Chat is focused on positive mental health and recognises how easily people can turn to coping strategies, which although helpful in the short term may not be over the mid to long term.

Please join us on the link below if you feel this is an area where you wish to become more informed and supported. Whether you are concerned personally, about a family member or just wish to learn more about the topic please come along and join us.

Dragon Chat is a peer support group where confidentiality is of paramount importance. If you have any questions about the session please contact [email protected] for further information.
