One of Wrexham AFC's biggest fans has raised a staggering £1,900+ ahead of his sixth birthday in a bid to raise funds for the NHS and the football club.
Osian Williams from Mynydd Isa alongside his dad Ant Williams has run 10 miles across the last week and raised almost £2,000 as he approaches his birthday on Tuesday.
"When I'm running and I think about giving up I just think of the money I'm raising," said Osian.
Dad Ant said "Since lockdown started he's been moidering and moidering and coming up with different ideas, but he came up with this one and he originally put something like £200 but it's now at over £1,900!
"To be fair to him, a five-year old running two miles a day in this heat which he keeps doing because he's raising for two good causes.
"We're missing the football, he's been a season ticket holder for about three years now and I use to go with my dad when I was his age".
Osian completed the full 10 miles this morning by running around the Racecourse Ground pitch with his dad, and is incredibly close to hitting the £2,000 mark, ten times the amount originally targetted.
Everyone at Wrexham AFC is beaming with pride with Osian, a current Junior Dragon, and his attitude and determination for helping crucial causes. We wish Osian a very Happy Birthday tomorrow and as a present and way of thanks are gifting a brand new 2020/21 Wrexham shirt for his efforts.
