It's difficult to go too far back in terms of fixtures against AFC Fylde as Saturday's game at the Racecourse will be only the third time the two sides have met competitively.
The clubs did play a pre-season fixture at the Coasters previous home Kellamergh Park in July 2014 where the Dragons won 1-2. It was a typical early summer schedule fixture where a new team were gelling together.
However, goals from Louis Moult and Connor Jennings won the match for former manager Kevin Wilkin who demanded his team improved throughout the pre-season campaign.
Earlier this season the sides were drawn in the FA Cup 4th round qualifying round and the game was played at Fylde's new home Mill Farm with a league game at the same venue scheduled just two weeks later.
Former manager Dean Keates made four changes resting captain Shaun Pearson and lost the game 1-0, ending any hopes of a possible FA Cup run this season.
Top scorer Danny Rowe's first half goal was enough for the Coasters who went on to beat Vanarama National League North side Kidderminster Harriers 4-2 in the first round proper.
They would draw League One side Wigan at home in the next round where Rowe's second half penalty replied to Will Grigg's opener to earn a replay.
Fylde lost the reply at the DW Stadium 3-2 with Rowe and Simon Grand scoring their goals.
Inbetween trips to AFC Fylde Wrexham pulled off an impressive 0-1 victory at then form side Dagenham & Redbridge.
Paul Rutherford's cross found the back of the net in the 93rd minute giving Wrexham a platform for their trip north on the Tuesday night.
Without captain Shaun Pearson again, this time due to suspention, the Reds were looking to grab their 6th away clean sheet in a row.
It wasn't to be as Fylde ran out 2-0 winners. Wrexham didn't take their chances while Fylde netted via former Wrexham youth product Johnny Smith and Jack Muldoon.
