Wrexham 2-0 Hartlepool United
It's lovely to prepare one of these articles when it's a fixture with some league history!
We flashback to the 18th March 2003 and Coca-cola Football League Two action!
A Tuesday night at the Racecourse with Dermot Gallagher the man in the middle.
Scott Green scored both goals as 6th beat 1st, Denis Smith's Wrexham side filled with talent went in search of promotion.
The first goal was just three minutes in. A well worked move from Wrexham came to a head with Paul Edwards crossing in to the near post for Andy Morrell.
Morrell's shot was saved, but Green was on hand to smash the ball home.
Wrexham had a whole host of other chances before the 66th minute, when the second one landed. Lee Trundle and Morrell combined well (as always!) and found Green on the left hand side.
Green had a lot to do, but he did it and sunk the ball home.
