Wrexham 0-0 Leyton Orient
It's a written match report for this week's flashback as we can not find the video in the archive!
The game was played at the Racecourse on Saturday 12th October 2002 in Nationwide Football League Division Three (now Sky Bet Football League 2).
The away side had taken one point on the road all season but had the best of the first half.
However, they first had to survive some nervy moments and could have fallen behind early on when Jim Whitley played in Lee Jones but he shot straight at Glenn Morris.
Jones then sprung the offside trap and flashed a ball across the face of goal but Andy Morrell could not add the decisive touch.
Leyton Orient then came back strongly and on-loan winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce brought two good saves from Andy Dibble while Carl Hutchings headed just over.
Both sides had chances with time running out as first Matt Brazier set up Lee Thorpe who shot straight at Dibble before a defensive mistake let in Wrexham substitute Hector Sam who took it round Morris but shot into the side netting.
Wrexham: Dibble, Pejic, Roberts, Bennett, Whitley, Thomas, Barrett, Ferguson, Paul Edwards, Morrell, Lee Jones. Subs: Carey, Trundle, Evans, Whitfield, Sam.
Leyton Orient: Morris, Barnard, Miller, Smith, Lockwood, Campbell-Ryce, Harris, Hutchings, Brazier, Thorpe, Nugent. Subs: Barrett, Martin, Ibehre, Canham, Hatcher.
