Wrexham 1-0 Macclesfield Town
This week's Flashback takes us to Satursday 5th April 2014's visit of Maclesfield Town.
Wrexham opened the scoring on 12 minutes when Dean Keates took a quick freekick mid-way in the Macclesfield half.
Jay Harris poked a nice through ball to the area where Joe Anyinsah's shot was latched on to by Johnny Hunt. Hunt could make no mistakes from just a few yards out.
The next action we see is a Keates free kick well held by Rhys Taylor who would later go on to play for Wrexham in 2015.
On the counter Macclesfield's strikers linked up well. Their strike force on the day was a certain Chris Holroyd and Scott Boden, who are likely to line up against the Silkmen on Saturday.
The move ended with Holroyd hitting the side netting.
New Wrexham winger Jack MacKreth also lined up against the Dragons for this game.
He was involved when Macclesfield came close to levelling in the second half. Although, recalled Wrexham stopper Joslain Mayebi palmed away Danny Whittakers's headed effort.
Andy Bishop came close next for Wrexham with Keates crossing in low to the veteran striker only to see his shot well saved by Taylor.
