Wrexham 1-0 Notts County |  April 2008

Wrexham skipper Neil Roberts was the hero of the Racecourse after scoring a goal that gave a glimmer of hope against relegation.

Defeat was a blow to Notts County's hopes of avoiding relegation.

The Dragons put in a huge effort in the early stages, but did not get their reward until 12 minutes from the end.

Roberts did the captain's job by hammering home following a free kick to lift some of the gloom that has been hanging over the Racecourse.

Wrexham ended up being relegated while Notts County followed throught the trap door some ten years later.
