Wrexham 1-0 Solihull Moors

It was also a Tuesday evening the last time Solihull Moors visited My Racecourse on 16th August 2016 and Wrexham won 1-0.

It was Mark Carrington's late goal that secured the Reds first home win of the Vanarama National League season.

This win also ended Solihull Moors' impressive unbeaten start to last season.

Carrington netted from close range following Sean Newton's cross in the third minute of added time in the second half.

Former reds John Rooney and Hamza Bencherif had gone close to breaking the deadlock for Wrexham before Carrington's late winner.

In all honesty, it was harsh on Moors who competed very well but they suffered their first National League defeat following promotion.
