The winner of the 2020/21 Steve Edwards Goal of the Season Award has been officially chosen - with Jordan Davies a worthy winner as voted for by you.
Davies' volley against Halifax completed an oustanding first-half hatrick at the Shay and beat Luke Young's free-kick against Boreham Wood to the crown.
Davies secured 65% of the more than 650 votes cast in the final by supporters.
"I'm really happy to win the award for goal of the season, it was a special goal for me to round off a first half hat trick and a very important part of the season for the team" said Davies.
"Thank you to all the fans that have voted and hope to score many more in front of you at the Racecourse next season".
The competition began with 16 goals selected and drawn against eachother in a knock-out competition, with Davies' third goal at Halifax defeating Reece Hall-Johnson (v Boreham Wood), his second goal against Halifax, Dior Angus (second goal v Bromley) and of course, Luke Young's free-kick in the final.
It caps off a fantastic season of personal achievment for Davies who has already scooped the Young Player of the Season Award along with numerous supporter player of the season accolades. Perhaps the toughest one to win, he's now stopped Luke Young who has won the Goal of the Season trophy in each of the last two years.
Congratulations to Jordan on a fantastic effort and we look forward to seeing his entry next year!
