LOAN | Brad Walker Signs For Shrewsbury But Is Loaned Back To Wrexham For The Remainder Of The 2018-19 Season

Shrewsbury Town have this afternoon confirmed the signing of midfielder Brad Walker from League Two club Crewe Alexandra.

Brad had been on-loan at Wrexham AFC from Crewe since 30th August 2018 with the loan expiring on Saturday after the game against Dover Athletic at the Racecourse.

On completing his move to Shrewsbury who are currently 16th in League One, Brad has been loaned back to Wrexham for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.  

The club have re-submitted the necessary paperwork and applied for international clearance with a view to Brad being available for our next Vanarama National League game against AFC Fylde on 19th January 2019.

During the negotiations between all parties Brad made his intentions clear that any permanent move would include a loan back to Wrexham for the rest of the 2018-19 season.

He said: “I really wanted to stay at Wrexham for the rest of the season and finish the job.

“We are in a fantastic position and I have really enjoyed my time at the club. I have signed for Shrewsbury now but nothing has changed in terms of my commitment and ambitions towards Wrexham’s promotion campaign.”
