Leo Smith at Llandudno FC: Llandudno faced up against an in-form Connah's Quay Nomads in the JD Welsh Premier League on Saturday afternoon with Leo starting the game and completing the 90 minutes.

Second placed side Nomads sit a point behind leaders TNS and are certainly making this years title race a little less easy going for Oswestry based side.

Although Llandudno started the game brightly coming close through Toby Jones' cross in the 13th minute it was the Quay who opened up the scoring in the 20th minute through Michael Wilde.

Although the Seasider's were playing some neat football, Nomads' continuous long ball played dividends in the 29th minute when Callum Morris made it 0-2 for visiting the Deeside based side.

It was not even 60 seconds in to the second-half when Nomads made it 0-3, Morris again on target this time from the penalty spot.

Leo fired over the bar in the 65th minute while in the 76th minute a potential fight-back was on when Quay's Danny Holmes was shown a second yellow card and sent off.

The hope was short lived when another penalty was awarded to Connah's Quay in the 81st minute and converted by Morris to complete his hat-trick.

Other former reds, George Harry (Llandudno) and Michael Bakare (Connah's Quay) were also involved in the game.

With this 0-4 loss the Seasiders sit in 9th place with a trip to 5th placed Bala Town on Friday, 28th September next where they will hope to bounce back to winning ways.
