There has been a change to the schedule for next Tuesday evening’s game against Louletano DC (11 July), with the game now being played in their home town of Loulé, at the:
Estádio Municipal de Loulé
Rua Sebastião Cordeiro 10
Unfortunately, we received information today that the Algarve Stadium will not be available for the next three weeks, so the venue has had to be switched.
While it would have been nice to play at such an impressive stadium, the ground in Faro is not well served by public transport, especially after the final whistle.
The Estádio Municipal de Loulé though is not far from the local town centre, which has the second century Castle of Loulé at its heart and looks a good place to spend the afternoon before kick-off. While still being only about 10 miles inland from Vilamoura.
The match will now have a 6.00pm kick-off, mainly because the match officials are on UEFA Cup duty two days later and the slightly earlier start will allow them to return to Lisbon that night, before flying out on the following morning.
Our open training session will be held the previous evening (Monday, 10 July) and will take place from 7.00pm at:
Vale de Lobo
This is actually along the coast from Vilamoura, heading east towards Faro.
