Wrexham will be looking to call the shots this weekend and return with maximum points when they face off with Aldershot at the Recreation Ground.
Wrexham come into the game in poor form having not won in their last six matches, with the last win coming five weeks ago against FC Halifax Town. Last time out we took on Sutton United where a disappointing performance - especially in the first half - seeing the Dragons go a goal behind. It took until the latter stages of the second half for Wrexham to win a penalty which was subsequently dispatched by Bobby Grant.
Aldershot currently sit 20th on 11 points, level with Wrexham and without a home victory in the current campaign. The Shots earned a reprieve following relegation last season following the demotion of Gateshead, and have shown signs of struggle again this term. Last time out they met Solihull Moors losing 2-1 at Damson Park.
Blackpool loanee Ben Tollitt has extended his stay until January and now has the opportunity to solely focus on his work on the pitch. Having spent last term here month-to-month, Tollitt can now knuckle down for a longer period at the Racecourse and become an integral part of Bryan Hughes' squad.
Aldershot left-back Lewis Kinsella has been a big part of his club over the last two years and has been ever-present so far this term. The quick former Colchester defender will be keen to learn from last season's mistakes and remain in the division and will hope to be part of a more rugged defence this campaign.
We last met back in December 2018 playing out a goalless draw at the Recreation Ground, a game that followed up Wrexham's September victory over the Shots where Stuart Beavon and Jordan Maguire-Drew were on the scoresheet in North Wales. The last time Wrexham won away to Aldershot was the 2015/16 campaign where Wes York scored the winner in a 1-0 victory.
Goalkeeper Rob Lainton has stepped things up upon his return in training whilst Jake Lawlor remains suspended. Manny Smith is still out.
