Wrexham return to action looking to make it back-to-back wins as we pay visit to Solihull Moors under interim boss Brian Flynn.

Form

Wrexham banked their first win in eight games on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United in North Wales. Although Bobby Grant missed from the spot Paul Rutherford saved his blushes with an outstanding strike on the edge of the box to hand Wrexham a much needed 1-0 win.

Solihull come into this one on the back of a 0-0 draw away to Barnet on Saturday, leaving Tim Flowers’ side 13th in the National League table. Their last home game came against Stockport County with goals from Callum Howe and Jamie Reckford sealing a 2-0 triumph.

Key Players

Saturday’s goal scorer Rutherford expressed his elation post-match at grabbing the winner at the Racecourse and has set his sights on a regular place in the starting XI for the Dragons. The tenacious wingers’ strike was his first of the campaign and wants to be more than just a substitute going forward.

Moors striker Paul McCallum signed from Eastleigh in the summer having grabbed 27 goals last term for the Spitfires. The 26-year old former West Ham United striker has four goals this season but has failed to score in his last four matches, his longest run without a goal since the 2017/18 campaign.

Head to Head

Our last meeting came in December 2018 where much like on Saturday, Paul Rutherford got the winner in a 1-0 victory. Beforehand at Damson Park in August 2018 – our last trip to Solihull – it was the Moors who came out on top via Alex Gudger. In seven games between us, Wrexham have five wins, a draw and one loss.

Team News

Manny Smith remains out injured having last appeared against Solihull in August 2018 whilst Rob Lainton is also out but making good progress. Wrexham striker JJ Hooper made a return on Saturday off the bench to provide an assist for the goal, but won't likely feature from the off on Tuesday night.
