Wrexham are back on the road once again this weekend as we take on high-flying Woking on Saturday.

Wrexham come into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Solihull Moors on Tuesday night. The Dragons fell behind after 11 minutes via a Jamey Osbourne strike before Jamie Reckford rocketed an effort to double the Moors lead. Bobby Grant hit back in the second half but Osbourne grabbed a second directly from a corner to seal the win. It followed Wrexham's first win in eight games three days previous where Paul Rutherford's sensational effort confirmed a 1-0 win over Ebbsfleet United.

Woking's last outing was on Tuesday as they played host to Boreham Wood in Surrey. Kane Ferdinand gave the Cards the lead before the visitors turned the game on it's head in the second period. The Wood went down to ten men for the final half hour or so but held on to inflict their third defeat of the campaign.

Key Players

Wrexham forward Bobby Grant currently sits as the sides top scorer with five goals in his 11 appearances so far including one on Tuesday night. The 29-year old has shaken off any negativity from last season and made a great start on a personal note with fine goal scoring form.

Woking striker Jake Hyde has been in excellent form this term having grabbed seven goals so far. The former Braintree forward has been essential to the Cards good start to the campaign having scored six goals in four games at the end of August. A prolific forward in the National League he'll be looking to replicate the form he began with throughout the season.

Head to Head

Our last meeting with Woking came in March 2018 where we played out a thrilling 2-2 at Kingfield. Josh Staunton gave Woking the lead on 12 minutes before Rutherford pulled one back. Marcus Kelly turned the game on it's head before Joey Jones levelled with ten minutes to spare. Our last North Wales meeting was in August 2017, James Jennings got the only goal in a 1-0 victory.

Team News

Wrexham will be without captain Shaun Pearson who is suspended for accumulation of yellow cards whilst Rob Lainton and Manny Smith remain sidelined.
