Wrexham return to North Wales this weekend following impressive away exploits with relegation-threatened Dagenham & Redbridge the visitors.
Wrexham come into this one following back-to-back victories including a fantastic 2-0 away success over title-chasers Harrogate Town. James Jennings opened the scoring with an outstanding free-kick before JJ Hooper struck an outstanding effort to seal maximum points. It followed an excellent home win of Woking where Luke Summerfield bagged two with Dan Jarvis bagging one between Summerfield's brace.
The Daggers will be full of confidence following last weekend's 2-0 win over Notts County at Victoria Road. Ex-Wrexham striker Alex Reid bagged two goals in the second half for a huge three points, keeping his side out of the bottom four. The win was the Daggers' first in the league since mid-November and was a huge lift for the Essex based side.
Striker JJ Hooper has been in a rich vein of form for the Dragons since returning from injury, scoring four goals in his last six appearances. The 26-year old scored a real peach last weekend and Dean Keates will be counting on the centre-forward to continue his goal-scoring form to rise up the division.
With four goals in his last five games, former Wrexham striker Alex Reid has found some excellent form in recent weeks including a hugely significant brace against Notts County on Saturday. Reid scored three goals during the 2017/18 season for Wrexham during a loan spell from Fleetwood Town and has this season scored an impressive nine goals for the struggling Daggers.
We last met earlier this season with the Daggers finishing out on top back in October. Angelo Balanta gave Dagenham the lead in first-half stoppage time before Luke Young grabbed an equaliser. However, just six minutes after the leveller Chike Kandi restored the lead for a 2-1 win. Our last meeting in North Wales was in February 2019 with Stuart Beavon scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win.
Midfielder Akil Wright has been out of the side through injury but Keates shouldn't have any more concerns.
