After over a month away from home, Wrexham return to the Cae Ras for a vital clash with Eastleigh as both sides look to drag themselves away further from the dropzone.
Wrexham will be licking their wounds coming into this one after a hubmling 3-0 defeat away to Yeovil Town. Rob Lainton's moment of madness saw the Dragons go a goal down before two second half strikes including a wonderful free-kick sealed the Reds' fate and end a three-match unbeaten run.
Eastleigh were last in action on Tuesday night as they made the long trip north to face Chorley. The National League's bottom side took the lead after two minutes before the Spitfires struck back on the hour mark through Tyler Barnett. As stoppage time came to a close, Barnett popped up for a huge goal to steal maximum points to take back to Hampshire.
Dragons midfielder Akil Wright recently returned to the side following injury and will be keen to cement his place back in the side.. The 23-year old has been limited to 20 appearances this season having come back to action against Bromley two weeks ago, the first since early December.
Eastleigh skipper Danny Hollands has been in great form for his side this season bagging 10 goals from central midfield. The former AFC Bournemouth and Portsmouth middle-man broke hearts last time he played at the Racecourse, scoring in the play-off eliminator. He'll be hoping to re-create more important moments for his side to drag his side up the table.
The last time we met was back in December when we made the trip to the Silverlake Stadium. An Omari Patrick brace was the difference to hand Wrexham their first away win of the 2019/20 campaign. Our last game between us in North Wales saw Eastleigh come away with an extra-time win in the play-off eliminator back in May.
Defender Mark Carrington could be set for a return to the side this weekend after injury, but Luke Summerfield and James Jennings remain sidelined.
