New Wrexham loan signing Jermaine McGlashan is itching to get going after signing for the Dragons on loan from Swindon Town.
The winger arrived on loan late last week, but clearance did not come through from the FAW in time for him to play against Leyton Orient.
But watching Saturday’s match from the stands has only made the 30-year-old even keener to get involved and play his part in the title run-in.
“I was made aware of the interest in me and I had made it known to my gaffer that I was desperate to get away,” McGlashan said of the loan move.
“I looked at the situation and where Wrexham are at, and that was definitely a part of [wanting to come]. I’m ready to go.
“I got to have a look at the way we play and I think I could fit in that front three – that formation suits me down to the ground. I was itching to play on Saturday, but it did give me a chance to get a look at the boys so I’m looking forward to it.
“I can’t wait to get started. I’ve met the boys briefly at training and I was itching to go – the clearance situation was all new to me.
“I would have loved to have played against Orient but we’ve got nine to go, and nine big ones, so I’m looking forward to be a part of that and adding what I can to it.
“It will be pace, very direct. I like to get in behind and score goals – getting bums of seats, if you like. After watching the game, I feel like I can fit into it nicely and be that outlet that gets us up the pitch.”
