Wrexham AFC Media Team are currently recruiting for Voluntary Media Team Members ahead of the 2019-20 football season.
We are looking for new team members to assist the football club with a large variety of media related duties.
Over the summer a number of our team members have moved in to full-time media employment after gaining valuable experience with us and have therefore left the team.
For the right person, this opens up an opportunity to join our high-level and friendly environment.
When will you need to be available?
Our primary focus is looking for people who can make it to the large majority of home and away first-team matches.
We are also on the look out for people who will be available on Wednesday afternoons to cover our Under 18's and Sunday afternoons to cover our Women's Team - if this is you - we are waiting to hear from you!
What tasks will I be expected to do?
The media team are looking for people who will be able to help with a variety of tasks.
These include: social media updates and posts, photography, graphic design, updating the club website with written match reports and other content, audio recording, commentary (radio and tv), recording match data for external partners, live and pre-recorded video presenting, interviewing playing staff either on video or to produce audio/written content, operating video equipment, editing video and audio, uploading content on club channels and to external partners, assisting when nessesary with match analytics, operating the stadium scoreboard, assisting with our announcer operation and contributing to the running of a smooth operation by assisting us when necessary with a variety of non-media related match day tasks.
We may require you to help us on non-match days at club events, player signings, press days, speaking engagements, meetings and scheduled pre-record sessions.
Who are the Media Team looking for?
It is WAFC Media Team policy that you must be 18-years-old or older.
We are looking for people who are willing to work as part of a team. We require people who are driven to provide the best possible content for our supporters and willing to complete any of the given jobs that the Media Team are tasked with on a rota basis.
The WAFC Media Team have a track record of producing budding journalists and media professionals. This role would suit a local sports journalism student looking for experience in a real-life sports working environment, although, this is not a necessity.
Experience isn’t necessary as full training in the workings of Wrexham AFC’s media systems will be provided.
