Wrexham AFC would like to confirm that supporters are invited to pay their respects to our former player Kieron Durkan during the match against Chester on Sunday.
Chester-born Kieron tragically lost his life at the age of 44 last week. He will though be forever remembered by us at Wrexham AFC for his fruitful time at the club and particularly his courageous goals against Ipswich and Manchester United.
We invite you all to join us with a standing minute's applause during the 9th minute of the derby game. Remembering when Kieron scored in the 9th minute of our FA Cup 4th round match at Old Trafford against Manchester United in 1995, putting us into a 1-0 lead.
A number of Kieron's immediate relatives will be in attendance on Sunday, while both Wrexham and Chester players will show their respect by wearing black armbands for the match.
