Home Venue Secured for 2018/2019 Season
The Racecourse Community Foundation are delighted to announce that for the 2018/19, the newly reformed Wrexham AFC Women will play their home games at Pen Y Cae FC.
Pen Y Cae will be the home venue for the season, with the clubs hospitality facilitates also being made available for all home games.
The RCF are delighted to be partnering up with Pen Y Cae, ensuring that our home venue remains within Wrexham.
Business Development Manager at the RCF, Matthew Jones said: “I am delighted that our home venue will be with Pen Y Cae FC.
"Colin and myself have had a couple of meetings and this really feels like the ideal place begin our journey.
"The facilities here are superb, the pitch looks wonderful, the dressing rooms are excellent and the club house is something that really adds to what we as a club can offer.
"We have been working with Pen Y Cae FC on other projects so to extend this partnership is something that I am very happy about".
Pen Y Cae's Commercial Manager, Robert Salisbury commented: "This partnership is fantastic news for us as a club, not only is it a testament to the hard work that has been put in over the years to the development our ground to the high standard it is at now, but it also illustrates our ambitions and passion to be one of the very best clubs in the area.

New First Team Head Coach Appointed
The other big announcement from Wrexham AFC Women’s today is the appointment of Head Coach Luke Wynne.
Luke currently works for the RCF as football development officer and has been heavily involved with the RCF Girls Under 16’s team.
Luke currently holds a Level 2 in coaching football and has been with the RCF for a number of years.
Matthew Jones said of the appointment: "It is important we get this first appointment right, I have been in discussions with a number of candidates and having had an in-depth conversation with Luke, really feel he is the best person to drive this forward."
"Luke will act as head coach and be responsible for training and match day activities. The club are still seeking declarations of interest for the role of first team coach".
Luke said of the appointment: "I am proud to have been given the opportunity to take on this role, my aim is to build the club and develop the program to make us competitive in the league this season.
I have experience working within the RCF girls set up which I think will hold me in good stead".
