Wrexham AFC can confirm that we will play Spennymoor Town of the Vanarama National League North this summer at their Brewery Field home.
Phil Parkinson's men will face off against the Moors on Saturday, August 7th - kicking off at 3.00pm.
Supporters will be able to attend the game with Spennymoor advising that entry will be by cash at the gate on the day.
Entry will be priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions/under-18's.
We have played at the Brewery Field before, when facing Spennymoor United in the first round of the 1969/70 FA Cup (winning 4-1).
That club withdrew from the Northern Premier League towards the end of the 2004/05 campaign, as financial troubles become compounded following the burning down of their social club on Christmas Day 2003, their main source of income.
They did though merge with local Northern League side Evenwood FC to form the current Spennymoor Town for the 2005/06 season, once again playing out of the same Brewery Field ground in the Northern League Division Two.
Since then they have risen four levels up the pyramid and in 2017 joined the National League North, after beating Stourbridge in the NPL Play-Offs.
We look forward to visiting them next month and meeting up with ex-Red Adriano Moke.
