We couldn't have asked for a much tougher test to start the season than a game against Boreham Wood.
They had the second-best defence in the division last season, conceding just one goal more than champions Barrow, and lost narrowly in the play-off semi-finals to Harrogate, who were eventually victorious. Having retained the core of the squad which finished 5th in the table and added some interesting players during the break between seasons, they will clearly be serious contenders for promotion.

MILESTONES & STATS
Wrexham have never won the first two games of a National League season. The last time we got 6 points out of 6 was 2004: Swindon (h) 2-1 (Lawrence, Armstrong); Oldham (a) 3-2 (Sam 3)
I miscalculated in the last preview: Theo Vassell will make his 100th league appearance against Solihull Moors.
Devonte Redmond, if selected, will make his 50th career appearance.
