Wrexham will be looking to make it five wins out of five in our latest pre-season friendly away at Warrington Town.
Unbeaten so far this summer, Wrexham come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win away at Stafford Rangers. The Dragons took the lead after 43 seconds as Scott Boden’s lob found it’s way to the back of the Rangers net. But the hosts equalised moments later through a controversial penalty. In the second half the lead was restored through James Jennings, making up for an earlier miss. Before that we’d played Louletano DC in Portugal running out 2-1 winners while also beating Cefn Druids (3-1) and Lex Glyndwr XI (3-1).
As for Warrington, they have played twice so far this preseason kicking off against Barnton at Townfield. The Yellows ran out 3-0 winners and quickly added a second win a few days later, beating Runcorn Town 4-0.
Wrexham this week made the loan signing of Akil Wright from Fleetwood Town and although he has already played in pre-season matches for the Dragons, will look to continue to impress his new supporters as an unveiled Wrexham player on Tuesday night. The 21-year old midfielder has signed on until January.
For Warrington, they have captured the signing of Tony Gray following his spell with Airbus UK Broughton who were relegated from the Welsh Premier League. The experienced non-league starlet has played with the likes of Chester and Southport, and has a proven track record of scoring on a regular basis.
Wrexham and Warrington Town have not competed in a competitive match.
Wrexham boss Dean Keates has no new injury concerns. Ikil Wright will officialy play his first game as a signed up Wrexham player while the attacking trailist is expected to feature again looking to earn a deal with the club.
