Chester put up a fighting display on Mother's Day, but it was all for nothing as two goals from the Dragons led them to another defeat.

Despite fielding a young and inexperienced squad, Chester played well in the first half, matching Wrexham in most departments.

But some encouragement from the boss at half time inspired Wrexham to find that little bit extra, and a much improved second half performance was rewarded with two goals.

There were good performances from some unlikely players, most notably David Raven, who filled in for the suspended James Jennings. Mark Carrington also made a return to the fold, coming on for the injured Manny Smith early in the first half.

Coming up, interviews with Dean and the players.

First up, the gaffer.

After scoring his first goal for the Reds, Nicky Deverdics spoke to us.

Improvised centreback David Raven chimed in with his thoughts after the Derby.

And finally, the captain Sean Pearson weighed in with his thoughts.

And after the match, our very own Mark Griffiths was joined by James Harrison and special guest Andy Morell for the Final Whistle Podcast.
