Following the expiry of his initial loan period with the club, following the victory over Eastleigh, striker Alex Reid has now returned to the Racecourse for a second loan spell.
His first stint lasted 55 days, so under the rules he has 38 days remaining on the maximum permissible for a short-term loan – which must end after 93 days.
This means he will now be available until 25 November, when we are at home to Aldershot Town.
“I’m grateful to Fleetwood for allowing Alex to return and this second period will see him in the squad for another seven league fixtures,” said manager Dean Keates.
“He certainly started with a bang when he first arrived and let’s hope for a few more goals over the coming weeks.
“I played alongside Alex at Rushall Olympic, so I know what he is capable of and he is certainly gaining experience by playing first team football in the National League.”
Alex has played 12 times for the Reds, starting in nine games and scoring three goals.
