Wrexham saw another two points slip through their fingers, as the depleted Ravens fought back from behind to grab a share of the spoils.

James Jennings put the Reds in front early in the second half, before Brandon Hanlon rescued a point from the penalty spot.

First effort of the afternoon came on two minutes, the first time Bromley had cost the half way line and on the slick surface striker Brandon Hanlan tried his luck from outside the box. Chris Dunn made the block, but could only parry the ball, leaving Shaun Pearson to knock away the loose ball before the home player could swop.

A few minutes later at the other end and the same thing happened as Sam Quigley fired in a shot from 18-yards. Keeper David Gregory got behind the effort, but he too needed Jack Holland to hook the loose ball away as Chris Holroyd closed in.

The hone side obviously were alert to the conditions and firing in shot from distance at any opportunity, on nine minutes Jordan Higgs crossed in from the right and coming through the middle was George Porter to unleash along-range effort that flew just wide of Dunn’s left-hand post.

On 29 minutes, a lovely Wrexham move saw Quigley head down in the Bromley box and Holroyd was onto the ball first, forcing a smart save out of Gregory and then the keeper also denied Rutherford, who slashed at the rebound from six-yards.

Some nine minutes later and Rutherford free kick from the left wing saw Holroyd dive in at the near post, attempting to head the ball, and while he got a touch the ball carried high over the Bromley cross bar.

Porter tested Dunn again when he took a short free kick 30 yards out and fired goalwards. The Wrexham keeper diving to his right to push the ball away.

Then there was a straight red card for the Raven’s Roger Johnson on 44 minutes, when the centre half caught Wedgbury just inside his own half – and the referee was in no doubt.

A silly challenge by Frankie Raymond earned himself a yellow card, as he crashed into Quigley to the right of the Bromley box after 52 minutes.

From Kelly’s kick, James Jennings rose unchallenged to direct his header inside the back post with the keeper rooted to the spot. A great way to mark his 50th game for the club.

After period of Bromley pressure, as the 10-men lifted their game, Rutherford tested Gregory with a left footed shot from 18-yards.

There should have been a second goal for the visitors on 63 minutes, when Rutherford put through Kelly who was clean through on Gregory, but the keeper made a fine save to deny the midfielder.

Bromley made the most of their good fortune and were level on 66 minutes, when Hanlan crashed home from the penalty spot, awarded after Wedgbury was judged to have pushed over substitute Omar Bugiel.

Six minutes later and Nicky Deverdics was denied by Gregory, who palmed away his angled drive after Holroyd had headed on. Then Kelly fired in another shot of his own from outside the box that came back off the home cross bar, travelling with such force that it actually bounced outsode of the penalty area.

On 75 minutes a double change for Wrexham, saw Boden on for Deverdics and Franks replace Rutherford.

The wood work denied Wrexham again moments later, when Kelly fed the overlapping Franks, whose cross deflected off Tyrone Sterling and onto the near post.

Final Wrexham substitue saw Quigley replaced by Simon Ainge after 78 minutes

Keeper Gregory then denied Ainge, whose header from a Franks’ cross was low towards the bottom corner.

The Ravens fell back in the closing stages and invited pressure from the Welshmen, with Roberts and Franks sending over a supply of crosses, but in a crowded box they were all eventually cleared.

It was all to no avail though, as the 10-men took a point.
