Wrexham AFC are pleased to confirm the signing of Anthony Jeffrey after a successful trial.
Jeffrey, who last played for Dover Athletic, has been training with the club and caught the eye with his first-half performance against Cefn Druids on Tuesday night.
And the winger has now officially signed on at the Racecourse, to become the club’s ninth new signing of the summer.
A product of the Arsenal academy, Jeffrey is also a Guyanan international and appeared in the CONCACAF Gold Cup last summer – capping a season that included a late winner for Dover at the Racecourse.
He made 16 appearances for Dover last season, and has also represented Sutton United, Boreham Wood and Forest Green Rovers in the National League.
Having already got to know his new team-mates during his trial, Jeffrey is raring to go at the Racecourse.
He said: “Everyone is playing off each other. We’ve played our first game together on Tuesday and, while I only played the first-half, the cohesion is there already.
"We’re only going to get fitter and stronger. It was my first game for nine months and I’ve come out of it feeling fit and strong. That was a big first step.
“It’s an incredible club. A massive club. The lads are great – I’ve known a lot of the lads actually for a long time – they’ve all welcomed me and had me as one of the lads.
“I’ve always said I want to play with a lot of fans, I said this before COVID happened – I want to be at a big club this year, and I really liked the idea of Wrexham."
