Wrexham Football Club can confirm the signing of midfielder Scott Burgess on a three-month loan deal from League Two side Bury FC.
Scott will be a fairly familiar face to Wrexham fans as he turned out for last season's Vanarama National League champions Macclesfield Town in both games against the Dragons.
He spent 2017-18 with the Silkmen on-loan from Bury where he played twenty times in their successful campaign.
The midfielder has also spent time on-loan in Norway with 3rd tier side Bergsoy (2016) and at Stalybridge Celtic (2015) in the National League North.
After progressing through the youth ranks at the Shakers, he went on to make his professional debut in League Two during May 2014, a 0-0 draw with Morcambe, and has made twenty league appearances for the side since.
Scott told wrexhamafc.co.uk: “I’m really excited about joining Wrexham. The team has had an amazing start to the campaign and hopefully I am able to come in and help out with that.
He added: “I was with Macclesfield Town last season and we went up as champions, so I know all about the National League. I’m here at Wrexham now and the aim is to do the same this season.”
Manager Sam Ricketts said: “Scott is a young lad who knows the National League very well. He was promoted with Macclesfield last season so he knows what it takes to be successful.
“I’m looking forward to working with him here at Wrexham and I hope he enjoys his time with us.”
