Wrexham AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Anthony Spyrou on loan from the EFL Championship table toppers Norwich until the end of the 2018-19 season.
The 19-year-old striker has come up through the youth system at the Canaries and signed his first professional deal with the club in January this year.
A native Londoner who moved to Essex, Anthony has been plying his trade in Norwich’s under 23’s this season scoring seven goals in 15 ‘Premier League 2’ outings.
After impressing in the under 16’s as a winger, the coaching staff moved Anthony in to the middle of the park where he has blossomed in to a fast, promising centre forward.
Wrexham AFC have submitted the paperwork required with the intention of Anthony being available for selection against Hartlepool United on Saturday afternoon.
Manager Bryan Hughes commented: “Anthony is a highly rated youngster who has come up through the ranks at Norwich putting in some very impressive performances along the way.
“We are looking forward to him joining in with the squad and helping us during the last seven games of the season.”
