Manager Dean Keates has added to his squad by signing former Liverpool and Inverness CT defender David Raven for the remainder for the season.
Born on the Wirral, the 32-year-old has amassed over 350 senior appearances during a career which started at Liverpool, playing a few first team games for the Reds in the 2004, before a loan spell with Tranmere Rovers, then a permanent move to Carlisle United.
After nearly 150 matches for the Cumbrians, there were further stops at Shrewsbury Town and Tranmere Rovers, before going north of the border in 2012.
In more than five seasons with the Highlanders, he assisted the club to a Scottish Cup Final success in 2015, scoring the winner in the semi-final win over Celtic, and also playing in the Europa League.
Following Caledonian Thistle’s relegation last summer, he has been a regular in the Championship this season, but with his contract expiring in the current window and the reduced financial income at the club, he was not offered a new deal.
He has been training with the Wrexham squad this week while considering several options, and accepted one from Dean on Friday afternoon - the necessary paperwork being rushed through late yesterday and his ITC received in time for him to be eligible for today’s match.
