Gareth Thomas’ Silver Skydivers for Sport Relief - as Welsh rugby legend ‘Alfie’ took on a huge challenge for the popular charity.

He maybe brave in every field of his life – including the rugby one, but there is something that really terrifies him - heights!

Last Friday, Gareth skydived from 12,000 feet above the Welsh countryside, but he wasn’t doing it alone. Joining him were a team of people over 60, who had also never skydived before.

Wrexham AFC club photographer Alun Roberts was ONE of those over 60-year-olds undertaking the Silver Skydive challenge with Gareth.

It took place last Friday (9 March) at Swansea Airport and he came through his ordeal unscathed.

You can STILL sponsor Alun and donate to Sport Relief by using his JustGiving page
