Since launching in May 2015, Wrexham Street Festival has become a regular event in Wrexham Town Centre, showcasing a range of wonderful local businesses, fun things to do, fairground rides and street food.
With the aim of putting the heart back into Wrexham and bringing the life back into our town, the street festival is held on the last Saturday of the month.
Last month, Wrex the Dragon took a stroll into town to check it out. While there, he visited the markets, chatted with local business owners and posed for photos with many of the children that were enjoying the entertainment.
The next street festival, to be held on Saturday, 30 September, has an exciting twist to it and the town sees the return of Wrexham Singing Streets.
The event follows on the from the initial festival last year, which saw 25 choirs from Wrexham, North Wales and the North West of England give for a day of live performances and entertainment.
This year’s event looks to be even bigger and more exciting with Only Boys Aloud, who placed third on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012, joining 30 choirs due to perform around several venues in town.
Wrex is also hopeful of attending and sees it as a great way to warm up for an exciting afternoon at The Racecourse, where he will be on duty when Wrexham host Sutton United.
So, why not join him in supporting two fantastic events held in our fantastic town.
