On Saturday 28th April V AFC Fylde we will re-open the Lower University End behind the goal with a view to creating a 3,000 strong ‘Red Wall’ as we launch 'Target 10,000'.
We are urging supporters to create our own Red Wall by:
- Purchasing tickets in the University End and wearing red and white
- Bringing scarves and dust off the flags from Flag Day to make it an occasion to remember
What Updates Do The Club Have About The Target 10,000 Game vs AFC Fylde?
On the day Luke Gallagher will be playing a special live set inside the concourse behind the goal and we will be ramping up the atmosphere on the day.
What is Target 10,000 all about? Do you expect to sell 10,000 tickets for the Fylde match?
We are making provision to ensure should demand require it we can host a crowd of 10,000 for football matches at the Racecourse. We listened to supporters feedback regarding the lower GUS and put a plan in action to re-open it. We would like as many of you as possible to use the GUS stand for this game, particularly the lower section to create a red wall in our most vocal section of the ground. We are aiming to fill the GUS Stand from top to bottom with 3,000 people.
How Does Target 10,000 Benefit The Football Club Going Forward?
The football club are guaranteeing that any money generated above budget will be ring fenced towards the re-launch of Build The Budget 2018-19. A massive part of Build The Budget last year was our ring-fenced matches and this is a huge opportunity to enjoy a day out following your football team and give BTB 2018 a head start!
Tickets are now on sale and urge fans who want to go in the Lower University End to purchase their tickets in the next few days as we believe this area will sell out quickly as the first brick in the Red Wall.
We will update you as ticket sales and the match day plan soon.
Come On You Reds!
