We are delighted to have joined forces with our kit producers Macron to offer our support to The Offside Trust and are extremely proud to give our backing to Steve Walters and his colleagues.
Wrexham AFC will display The Offside Trust logo on all the shirts worn by our Junior and Youth teams during the forthcoming season.
In addition, the first team will also wear the logo on our pre-season kit, which will have its initial run out against Cefn Druids this weekend.
Manager Bryan Hughes joined Steve Walters to unveil The Offside Trust emblazoned shirts, along with youth player Lewis Parry and first teamer Akil Wright – joining them were Head of Youth Dan Nolan, Andy Poole (Macron) and Luke Harrison (Macron).
The Offside Trust have done great work since 2016, when a number of players involved with a series of high-profile revelations regarding child sexual abuse, bravely waived their right to anonymity to speak out about their past abuse.
They went on to set up The Offside Trust, an organisation committed to supporting survivors and working to make sport safer for children.
The Trust is led by ex-footballer Steve Walters and former professional golfer Chris Unsworth, whose stories have inspired hundreds of people to speak out for the first time about their abuse.
Their new website offers plenty of support and advice - http://www.offsidetrust.com/
