Wrexham AFC can confirm midfielder Leo Smith has left the club to sign for Caernarfon Town.

Smith, 21, came through the club’s academy, and made his league debut as a second-half substitute in a 2-1 home win against Bromley in October 2016.

He went on to make 20 league appearances that season, scoring his first goal in a 3-1 win at York City and winning the club’s Young Player of the Season award.

Smith made a further seven league appearances in 2017-18, but spent last season out on loan, first with Llandudno and then Caernarfon.

He leaves for the Canaries having started 15 league games in all for Wrexham with a further 12 substitute appearances.

The club would like to wish Leo all the best for the future and thank him for his contributions during his time at the Racecourse.
