The Wrexham AFC squad trained on the grass at Airbus Broughton today ahead of the match against Tranmere Rovers and the Media Team went along to catch up with manager Dean Keates and club captain Shaun Pearson.
Stephen Wright's academy team trained on the 3G pitch ahead of their away EFL Youth Alliance game at Walsall tomorrow, 11am.
Keates was happy with preparation before the big game on Saturday choosing to train at the Broughton facility giving the pitches at Nine Acre time to recover after a busy week of training in wet weather and to give the players focus during what has prooved to be a very busy day around the Racecourse Ground.
He called for a united front between players and fans as over 8,500 supporters will pack out the Racecourse tomorrow afternoon.
While club captain Shaun Pearson told us that when this squad of players have played the bigger games this season they have managed to get wins. The centre-half also said: "I know everybody is getting carried away with it and I know its a bit of an old cliche but it is only three points at the end of the day. It would be a big three points in terms of momentum but at the end of the day neither team will win the league title tomorrow".
