For the 2018-19 season the media team launched our brand new club hashtag yesterday - #WeAreOneTeam
The media team have been responsible for evolving the club official hashtag enabling supporters to create a statement on social media over time making it easy to search and find what other supporters are talking about.
#WXM150 ran for our anniversary season with #WxmAFC taking it's place for the past four seasons under contrasting branding.
We have decided to freshen it up for 2018-19 with a new font while complimenting it with the WST strapline "Our Club. Our Future."
Speaking of the change, club media manager Carl Hogan said: "The #WxmAFC hashtag was probably a little bit safe at the time. It never really captured the imagination, didn't recieve the best initial feedback, but served a purpose.
"Simply, hashtags are a tool for social media users to find content. For us, it helps get our messages out more deliberately.
"#WeAreOneTeam is a tip of the hat. It's a nod to the foundations of this club. Fans, players, volunteers, staff, we are one team. We all want the best for the club and working together we can achieve things.
"Like Wales' #TogetherStronger and our mini-campaign #BuildTheBond, I feel this kind of hashtag works nicely.
"With a new manager coming in later this week, I'm sure some new players will then follow, a new kit lauched today, season tickets coming out shortly then a stunning looking away kit soon after, after a disappointing end to the season it feels like the dawn of a new era. A good time to draw a line in the sand with a set of fresh branding."
