On Loan At Accrington Stanley Until May 2020

Attack-minded Liverpudlian Bobby Grant signed for Wrexham on loan in November 2018 on a loan deal until January.

Grant began life with Accrington Stanley breaking through the youth ranks before signing professional terms in 2006. The Scouse striker made his debut in May 2007 on the final day of the League Two season in a 3-1 defeat to MK Dons.

After making a handful of appearances in the next campaign he finally got his first career goal in April 2009 as the winner in a 1-0 victory over Chesterfield. After getting off the mark he followed up in the 2009/10 campaign with 18 league goals which saw him attract interest from clubs in the higher reaches of the Football League.

In 2010 he moved on to Scunthorpe United in the Championship making his debut against Oldham Athletic in the League Cup, his Championship debut came against QPR. Mid-way through the season he was loaned out to Rochdale in League One scoring twice in six league games.

After returning to Glanford Park and making a handful of appearances, he was unable to keep his side in the second tier and Scunthorpe were relegated to League One. The next season he bagged 12 goals in all competitions as the Iron held their place in the division.

In 2012 he spent time on loan with former club Accrington grabbing three goals in eight games. During his first game of the 2012/13 season he scored a brace against Derby County in a thrilling 5-5 draw in the League Cup before heading for pastures new at the end of August.

His new club was Rochdale, where he’d spent time with on loan a year beforehand. His first league goal came against AFC Wimbledon in a 2-1 win, the first of 15 in League Two that year.

Grant earned a move to Blackpool in 2013 in the Championship, but he’d make just seven appearances during his two year stint spending the majority of his time out on loan to the likes of Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town. With the latter he earned promotion from League Two as runners-up and landed the March ‘player of the month’ award.

In the summer of 2015 he finally moved away permanently from Bloomfield Road making the short hop back across to Fleetwood. His Cod Army debut came against Southend United on the opening day of the League One campaign whilst his debut goal came against Port Vale at the end of September 2015.

After making over a century of appearances in League One for Fleetwood, Grant moved on to the Racecourse on a loan deal before making it permanent on January 2nd 2019.
