The youngster began his career as a seven-year old at the academy at Luton Town and progressed through to the first team, having won honours with the youth side beforehand.
He made his professional trophy in the EFL Trophy against West Bromwich Albion 23’s in October 2016 and went on to make a second appearance in the same competition against Millwall.
In January 2017 Hinds was picked up by Bristol City, joining for an undisclosed fee signing a two and a half year deal with the option of a further year.
He made his Robins debut in August 2017 in the EFL Cup against Plymouth Argyle, and scored his first professional goal in a 5-0 win. A week later he made his league debut in the Championship against Brentford.
In a good spell for Hinds he made a further appearance in the next round of the EFL Cup scoring a valuable goal against Premier League outfit Watford in a run that saw his side eventually reach the semi-final against Manchester United.
After grabbing two goals in three for City he moved out on loan to League Two Cheltenham Town, scoring in the Gloucestershire derby against Forest Green Rovers during his 14 appearances for the Whaddon Road outfit.
After returning to Ashton Gate, Hinds joined Wrexham on loan to further his first-team experience.
