Hurst arrived in the summer of 2017 and brings top level experience to the Racecourse Ground.

Hurst joined the youth team system at West Bromwich Albion in 2001 where he remained for seven years.
In 2008 Hurst had interest from Manchester United, Arsneal and Aston Villa but opted to sign for FA Cup holders Portsmouth.
In 2010 he joined Icelandic side IBV making 16 appearances scoring once before returning to Fratton Park.
He left Pompey having failed to make an appearance and re-joined West Bromwich Albion. With the Baggies he spent time on loan at Blackpool, Shrewsbury Town, Chesterfield and Birmingham City.
He made his debut in the Premier League for Albion against Fulham in January 2011. That would be his only first-team league appearance as he went on to join Valur in Iceland in 2013.
With ‘Valasarar’ he made seven appearances scoring twice before returning to England, signing for Crawley Town.
During his time with the Red Devils he was loaned out to Chesterfield before a second spell with Valur.
In 2014 he dropped into non-league joining Hednesford  before Torquay United, Guiseley and AFC Telford United,
Hurst joined Dover Athletic in January 2017 where he played 14 games and was snapped up by Dean Keates  on a one-year deal.
